This tour connects two biggest settlements at Lake Skadar. Virpazar is an administrative center of Crmnica area, a popular place that really has lots to offer – plenty of nice bars, restaurants and historical monuments. Although not the same popular as Virpazar, Rijeka Crnojevića is the same interesting spot: once summer residence of Montenegrin royal dynasties and the place of the first printing house in South Slavs, this place was local trading center for centuries. Now it lives much slower life, based mostly on fishing and tourism.
Paddling route between these two places is among the most attractive in whole Lake: passing peaceful river meanders, we’ll come to the wider part that will lead us between small islands and through massive fields of water lilies. The beauty that we’ll enjoy all the time will explain why this piece of the lake is one of the most photographed areas in Montenegro. Tour also offers an option of having lunch at a local tavern on the shore – fresh fish in traditional way, combined with homemade wine and juices.
