Lake Skadar is full of history and interesting natural phenomena. It’s the biggest cryptodepression in whole Europe, due to the fact that the deepest point of the Lake lies roughly 100 meters below the sea level. This trip will bring us exactly to this point. Unexpectedly, it’s not been somewhere in the middle of the Lake, it’s situated just 50-ish meters from the shore. This is one of the most beautiful places in whole area: hidden in marvelous bay of Raduš oko, decorated with an old fishing village, looking far to high Albanian Alps in the opposite side of the Lake. We’ll stop at small local tavern to taste fantastic fish meal cooked from daily fresh catch, enjoying the atmosphere of this awesome spot.
On our way we’ll also visit prison island of Grmožur, known as “Montenegrin Alcatraz”. Once cruel spot in late Kingdom of Montenegro, it’s now popular tourist attraction and a nice shelter for birds.
