The “newest” Montenegrin national park is one we share with Albania and Kosovo and one of the most spectacular mountain massifs in whole Balkans. Due to a difficult relationship between the former Yugoslavia and Albania after WWII, it was part of a forbidden zone for decades. It only started to be explored in 2000s, earning a reputation as a paradise for all those who enjoy adrenaline hiking and climbing experiences. The highest peak in the massif is Maja Jezerces (2.694 m a.s.l.) and also three of the highest peaks in Montenegro are situated there – Zla Kolata is the highest one, at 2.534 meters above sea level. As well as our whole country, it also includes beautiful valleys, glacial lakes and great resorts.
