Next to the Piva Nature Park is Durmitor – the oldest and the most well-known Montenegrin national park as well as the most loved mountain of our country. This area is included in almost all our programs. Rising up from wide highlands of Jezera, Durmitor has beautiful mountain peaks (48 of them are over 2000 meters above the sea), stunning valleys and 18 glacial lakes. The whole area, including Tara River, was placed under UNESCO’s protection in 1980.
