Lake Skadar is not only the biggest lake in Balkans, it’s one of the most diverse eco-systems in this part of Europe, listed on IBA (Important bird area) and included in Ramsar Convention (wetlands with international importance). Lake Skadar is a great mix of natural beauty, history and tradition, an awesome journey through spectacular landscapes with the opportunity to experience the exceptional local cuisine, wines and hospitality. We don’t have room for all the attractions in this summary so we’ll mention just one: there are 272 different species of birds. Even if you’re not a birdwatcher, there is nothing quite like watching a pelican take a flight.
